When reality strikes again

This week was screwed over by work hauling one in on a day off. The compensation was going to be a four day weekend. That dream died today as one was strongarmed into coming to work next Monday. Welcome to the modern workforce, where staffing levels are so low that two people off at the same time creates chaos as everyone is shuffled around to cover their well earned absences.  

Groans with fatigue and frustration...

Status update

This week of early morning starts is killing; the sleep patterns, the routines and the inability to get to the gym (which in turn is causing sinus issues and continual headaches).

Remembering why winter isn't so hot

That beautiful cold snap of the other week has settled into the general cooling off for winter. Well, what passes for winter in this state. Unfortunately the gentle slide towards winter has given the body time to catch up. Normally the aches and pains (mostly self inflicted) get worse without that lovely humidity keeping things loose. This year though the feet have added their name to things that are registering the passage of time.

Both of us in bed; one still sick and one with a migraine... no prizes for guessing which one was which :(
