Are we there yet?

Somewhere between making His shelves up and waking up with the migraine from hell the other day, one has managed to misplace yet another nose stud. The trouble is that the only type that seem to fit are the pig tail style and the only place that sells them around here is in the city...
So off we went... by bus.

Now that method was chosen because it is too expensive to park in the city and park and ride is time consuming. By the time you have driven to the train station and actually found a park, then walked back to the train station and waited for it... you get the idea. Besides there's a bus that leaves at the end of the street and is there in an hour according to the time table.
Mutters though one does find that hard to believe during peak hour...
Anyway one does digress from what turned out to be an interesting morning.

First there was His cry of delight at the prospect of being on a bus...
I have lived here all my life... we are car people damn it!
It seems that the partner in crime is not only something of a transport snob, but hasn't been on a bus since attaining His licence.

Then there was the small matter of not understanding seating etiquette...
One small slave hopped in a seat and He plopped down, squishing one firmly up against the window. Subtly suggesting that the bus was empty and He might enjoy a seat of his own was met with claims of rejecting his presence. The man generates heat like a blast furnace and the driver had the heater on... it was like a trial run for menopause :(

Next there was the future planning stage...
As we went past His work he commented that one could meet him from work if needed. Apparently it is OK to condemn one to public transport that is unsuitable for Himself.

Then we entered the whining stage...
Do you know this is the longest bus ride I have been on that didn't take me out of state?
Does this go straight home?
I feel slightly sick...

Yeah it might be fast and it might be convenient, but one does feel that it might be the last time we take that bus... together at any rate. Not only did the whole not being behind the drivers wheel seem to make Him nervous and twitchy, but he managed to regress faster than in the hands of a skilled psychoanalyst. The only thing missing was the bargaining stage. Oh wait...
That was covered by the "we are going to do park and ride next time" declaration.
Sighs silly slave...

Being put on iggy

Waking up to a day so crisp and dry that the nose was an arid tunnel one crawled out of bed... late. Drifting through coffee and the computer one was hauling on running gear when the phone vibrated... forgot to turn it back the other week. Anyway the phone did its thing and one small slave got curious enough to flip the cover to find a message from the work colleague. She was going to be there in about 15 minutes.

What happened to the planned text to say that it was on? For a while there one thought that one was safe with plans of domestic bliss. Rather than the prayers being answered, the gods had ignored one's pleas and played a cruel trick. It was a complication that one accepted with all the surly grace of the disappointed and disillusioned.

The first reaction was oh hell no! There was a run to go on. But a decent...read very generous... breakfast would be nice...
Conflicts are never quite as simple as people think.
Food... endorphin high... food... endorphin high...

Of course food won out, but that run was a very close second. Texting back that one would meet her at 9 one shimmied into the best white rabbit ever...
A run, naked at the door to meet Him, showered, dressed and at the designated area all in the space of 45 minutes. It was impressive...
Food is a great motivator where one is concerned :)

Invites

Tomorrow morning one small introvert is supposed to meet up with a work colleague for coffee, at the markets down the road. The trouble is that as one lies here on the couch with a book, playing hooky from the gym, all one can do is pray to assorted gods that she decides not to come out this way. The weather has settled in for a cold snap; the pj bottoms are on, along with a pair of knitted booties and honestly one doesn't think that tomorrow will dawn particularly early. In fact it may be a late start, which will push back the morning run... and there's laundry that needs to be done... and some dishes... and a bed to change... and... and...
Sighs social... not so much... though one might invite Him down to the markets for street vendor food... who can resist German sausages for breakfast?

You big meanie head!

Martyrdom is alive and well and living on Fet... just in case anyone was wondering where it was residing lately. Of course its changes its face. Now it takes the form of grown arsed people who don't get the supportive feedback they were hoping for taking umbrage and then donning the victim label. This usually occurs somewhere between hurling around words that don't mean what they think they mean and then running off to create writings that are supported by their friends... after they remove any comments that try and point out their version of events wasn't quite how it went down.
You know watching the activities on Fet gives you a very clear insight into how things like the witch trials, the assorted political witch hunts and the inquisition went down...
Whiney little cunts with a butt hurt flinging accusations around.
Sighs well at least it does prove that evolution doesn't change some things...

No news is good news right?

Well it's more boring than good to be honest. And it was one of those days. He's back at work... just. It was as busy as all out doors at one's own, a state not aided by people being away.
The new neighbour's large, flash house is under way and swarming with workmen, rendering our tiny domicile without privacy... a state not aided by the fact that we are inclined to potter around naked.
Scintillating stuff really.
Sighs though we are going to have to find some sort of a blind for the bathroom, as it looks like there is a window going in opposite it
