Geek fest

We spent the entire day in very convivial company...
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season one and the beginning of two
It's all kinds of awesome
Sighs we are such sad little shut ins sometimes  :D

Viper raid

Today we had to visit IKEA after He came home and had a quick snooze. We needed special new wheels for the mobile section of His wall of games after his mother tried to move the units without unlocking the original ones. Eighty dollars later we fled IKEA...

Did you enjoy your visit to IKEA He asked as we loaded up the car
Um... well one didn't actually get to see anything, what with you taking all the short cuts through the place.
Yes, well the last time we were here you sent me back for something so I had to find the quickest path through

Sighs but did He have to use that knowledge this visit...

Distracted

At the moment one is deep in the world of quilts. The brain dances with ideas for them, plans for them, considerations of what makes a pleasing design, the desire and conflicts between new fabrics and scrap quilts, looking at blocks...
You get the idea. Lots and lots of pictures that dance and shuffle around... a never ending kaleidoscope of possibilities as things vie to come into fruition. All pressed up against the knowledge that time is short and the eyesight is failing.

And in the middle of all this creativity there is Him...
Wanting meals and shirts and other prosaic things...
An anchor that tethers one to reality and constantly hauls one back to the mundane nature of life...
Where does He get this idea that his needs are important? Seriously, how many meals a day does a body need?

Sighs what is needed is a placard that can be held up... artiste at work perhaps... to stop these petty annoyances

Did not know that

Did you see the games I got today He asked
Oh, did you get games?
I left them out for you to see He said, sounding slightly aggrieved
You know this may come as a surprise, but there are so many games that one can't tell the new from the old. Now, one does realise that implies less fascination and involvement in your latest obsession hobby...
Yes, yes it does He interjected
... than would be polite, but life is short

He glared in one's direction for a brief minute before launching into a synopsis of one of them...
And the original of this was in German...

A large portion of games come out of Germany and there are often no translated versions or they take a very long time to come out. A section of the gaming community learns the basics of the language so they don't have to wait...
And you thought those geeks learning Klingon were sad little shut ins.

This is the later version of the game He carried on. It was a very limited run as it's all made out of recycled materials. Of course it's in the original Japanese, but I have the translation here...
It's actually rather beautiful. We aren't going to play that are we? It seems like such a shame... rather akin to using a fine oil painting as a placemat.
Of course we are going to play it He said, looking somewhat scandalised at the notion of not playing a game.

Sighs guess we are not quite at the stage of the game equivalency of toys collectable figurines... yet :/

Oh say it isn't so

He likes new games and he likes to get them before they have reached this part of the world... which can be years after they were released overseas... so to that end he can't resist a Kickstarter event for board games. We have a wall of games as testament to His inability to resist :)
Most of the time one peeks in at the pages on the computer, with a mild sense of resignation to whatever is about to land on our doorstep. Not this time.

This time it was more oh hell, He didn't, did he? See one had no idea there were other places that did different types of games. And what little horror has produced this feeling of impending doom...
The role playing game...

Chants must not hit the delete button, must not...

A prelude to disappointment

Kneeling on the office chair one peered at the computer screen, using one hand to balance on the chair arm, while navigating the mouse with the other.  It was one of those positions you sort of get into because you are only planning to be there a minute, paused if you will for a moment in time.
He saw it as an opportunity to sneak up on an unprotected arse that was conveniently pointing in his direction...
See perception and reality are strictly in the eye of the beholder...
Anyway back to this...

His hand stroked and caressed the target...
Which, for the record feels more like someone range finding than sexual per se...
And then His hand descended. Not in the usual spanks that rain like fire and leave scorch marks across pale flesh, but heavy, thudding wallops...
Slow and rhythmic in pace...
And very sexual in nature...

Just as the brain was registering pleasure and pain...
And other body parts were considering more base things than going to work...
He stopped.
In fact He drove one to work and left, smiling to himself as he drove off without a care in the world...

Bastard!
