This eccentricity is often reflected in how the regular drivers
personalise their buses. Of course no season brings out the quirkiness quite
like Christmas. It is the season for flashing (and in one case singing) Santa
hats, small decorations and things of that ilk. Life being what it is though
there is always one who takes it to the next level.
Scuttling onto the bus last night one was visually assaulted
arrested by the rather large dashboard set up with a Christmas scene of
snowmen, well it was a whole family of them, nestled in snow made out of white
feathers. It wasn't until settled in the seat that one realised that every surface
was covered in decorations. The internal glass had decals on them, every pole
and rod was covered in tinsel, stars hung down from fixtures along with bows
and bell and lights. Yes that's right; every one of those rods had flashing,
blinking lights in an assortment of hues strung on them.
As we drove along the bells merrily jingled to the Christmas
carols that were playing on the sound system.
There are no words that will adequately describe this kind
of living nightmare so one dragged out the phone to record this seasonal joy.
It was at that moment that the phone decided that it had no battery and
promptly turned itself off...
You know one is starting to suspect that the phone has more
sense than its auto correct would lead one to believe. In fact one is pretty
sure it smirked as it turned black...
