We woke up sleep deprived, hung over... the trouble with the
gold coast is that you get so horribly dehydrated, which makes any alcohol
worse than it would be normally... and more than a little bleary round the
edges. He promised to bring back a coffee when he slipped out and even waited
for the shop to open.
We snoozed a little more until woken by housekeeping. It
seems on his return trip He had left the key in the door and the guest
departing from next door had reported it.
Hopefully that was all they reported...
Anyway we faced the impossible task of cleaning up the mess
and packing our bag with calm determination... read that as groaning and oaths
:)
Then we hit the road for the return, stopping for breakfast.
Neither of us had felt able to face a repeat of yesterday's experience, so
maybe it wasn't that good after all. Oh and of course there was an obligatory
nip into the gaming shop... well He was sick not dead and it was right next to
where we had left the car.
So making it home, promising that we would go grocery
shopping later, we left everything in the car except our pillows and stumbled
into bed clutching those very objects as though our lives depended on it.
Only one of us woke up.
He started to run a temperature and got sicker by the
minute. That tricksy manoeuvre left one small and still slightly hung-over
slave to unpack the car, alone. Something He is too sick to even notice or care
about.
Though He might notice that there is nothing in the fridge
when he wakes up...
Mutters this is going to be a problem tomorrow...

oh dear :(
over here, you can do a supermarket shop online and have it delivered...
You can here too, but not the same day delivery. Oh well guess we will have to throw ourselves on the kindness of strangers, or in our case His mother.
We will promise to not come near her if she leaves food at the door. That or threaten her with miss kitty :D
