You see a pair of boots that you fall in lust with
That you track all over the world via online shoe stores
Only to be unable to find them in your size anywhere
Then you unexpectedly find them some time later, at a really
good price
And they are a half size smaller than you would normally
take
But you buy them anyway
Figuring that the company might run on the slightly large
size and most of your boots are getting a bit big, thanks to all the weight
loss
And if not they were cheap enough to write off
'Cos there is no way you are going to the hassle and expense
of returning them
Sighs and now we wait and wonder who we know that is a half
size small than oneself, who would like a pair of long, dark petrol blue, suede
boots... yanno just in case they don't fit :)

petrol blue suede?! wow! what size did you buy them in?!
just ,you know, wondering...
LOL 37.5 :D
I wear size 7 or 7 1/2
Heh, did a conversion and that is 37.5 British.
@ancilla_ksst Oh if only it was that simple. Unfortunately shoe companies are as bad as clothing companies and no size chart agrees with the other :(
FYI
If they are real leather, one can:
Wet them down and wear them dry
Or
Line them with a heavy plastic bag, fill the bag with water and put them in the freezer. Water will expand about 9%....

@West Suede doesn't go well with water of any kind unfortunately, but the ice expansion method sounds interesting for the future. We have great freezer packs that come in at work with meds that would work a treat.
size 7?! wow, i'm a 4!
maybe I'll change my name to Princess Dainty Feet
@mamacrow An American 4?... in which case you would never have to pay full price for your shoes, ever... deep envy.
And yes you would be Princess Dainty Feet :D
I don't know the expansion ratio of the freezer packs....
