A confession

OK in the interest of honesty one has a small confession... when everyone's back was turned one snuck off to read the last book in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy. Yes one did say that a safeword was going to be invoked... but a mad compulsion drove one back. See there is a deep and abiding hatred of unfinished sets of things... uneven cutlery gnaws away quietly until it can be stood no longer.

The book sat there on the Kindle daring one to go back... promising to be better than the last two. And all those women can't be wrong. It must have some merit surely? Somewhere, somehow all that faith must have been repaid. All that vicious defence on Fet must be warranted...

Well for the record...
No, it was not!
It was even worse drek than the first two... if that was possible. All the clichés it stepped into before were there, only worse. She saved him from his affliction by becoming a little grey herself. Umm... he was deeply traumatised... what's your excuse toots?

Gah one feels so dirty...
And he still didn't fuck her in the arse... which is ironic because the books have done that to everyone else L

I think I started following your blog the day that you said you were going to safeword out of this.

You know, from your discussions about not actually knowing what your safeword is and the way you treated this time, I am starting to understand why someone might not trust you to have one...

(tongue in cheek of course)

BTW, these are now number 1 in all fiction on my Kindle. I am going to post on FaceBook - okay, who's reading these?

I read them and now a lot of my friends are. Was a little worried about everyone seeing some similarities between what happens in the book and mine and my husbands relationship. Hah! No worry necessary. It wasn't completely horrible but pretty close.

I just refuse to read those books, just the reviews/descriptions are enough to make me shake my head. And I even read Twilight years ago (luckily before the movies came out)...
I just think those books take the stereotypes and package them neatly to make BDSM comfortable for people who don't understand it. Bleh...
I totally understand about the unfinished thing though. >.>

@Kitty Oh that's right support the oppressor :D

@T Honestly one suspects that book doesn't represent anyone's relationship... though the extra money would be nice :D

@agog Bleh is about right :(

What no buttsecks? I'm not sure I can read the second two then. Was there at least some whipping?

I feel like I should read the last one too. I have read the other two. But I just know whats gone happen, so I don't think I am going to. And now that I know there is no anal in there either. Why bother?
