The trouble is of course that He prefers it darker and so does
the hairdresser. They collude you know... length, colour etc has been worked
out by them over the years. She knows what He likes... something he can grab a
handful of... and she works within those parameters. Sighs between those two
one doesn't stand a chance.
So when the manager at work commented that she hoped one was keeping
the colour, it seemed an opportune time to let her down gently and point out that
her hopes would come to naught. But it's your hair she said sounding slightly
bewildered. No, not really. It might be one one's head, but that is the extent
of the ownership.
She stood there blinking for a second before saying you
know, you are the last person I would have thought would be dictated to like
that. Smiling one asked do you want to tell Him? After standing there for a
minute she turned around and said well it is only hair.
See others can see that He is unreasonable J

Lol.
You know, I actually wish that I could find a hairdresser who would collaborate with him like that--it would save me so much angst....
You know who does my hair? Mystique, you know her if you read my blog at all, so yes, they do totally collude, and her main concern is that he likes it. As mine is.
Ahh I know this all too well. I'm going to admit from time to time I do miss the lighter hair color but for some reason he wants the dark and I mean dark dark. I think it has something to do with the fact that my skin tone is so pale.
@lil Well it is true... there has been no hair angst for years now
@ancilla_ksst Of course one reads your blog... it is often the highlight of the day. Besides it gives one hope that you can still have an active BDSM life amidst the chaos of living. Though preferably one with less ouchie things...
@Yearning Letgo Yeah same here... pale :(
She was just saying the other day it is time to dye my hair again. The red has faded out quite a bit.
Red is the hardest colour to keep in the hair. Pigment loaded shampoos or conditioners, that impart a small amount of colour each time you wash, help. And here of course you need a good conditioner with UV protection as well. But even then it's still hard as they fade.
