I already broke my New Year Resolution too. It was to get everybody outside for at least 15 minutes a day. Well, at -17 that shit ain't happening!
Yours was such a noble aspiration too, but as you say not going to happen. At that age they are smart enough to work out it's snowing and things probably need shoveling :D
